Adventures are storylines that are released every few months. They are an immersive experience that is a cross between a digital scavenger hunt and a turn-based game. In each adventure there are several teams. Each team consists of Captains and its crew of pirates. The Ships race through activities in the digital world to try to get to the treasure.
Each pirate lives and abides by the Pirate Code.
  1. 1.
Every pirate has a vote in affairs of the moment; through democratic and equal voting
  2. 2.
A pirate can be made to walk the plank if they pull the rug on a fellow crew member
  3. 3.
A pirate shall always keep their wallets secure, code phrase hidden, and tweets ready for service.

  • What's the purpose of adventures?
    1. 1.
An opportunity for those in the crypto community to participate in a fun, collaborative, and educational experience with others. Experience is designed to instill competition, get exposure to other projects, and receive rewards for your efforts and teamwork. Participants go through quests together with their ships and must finish all of the quests to successfully complete the Adventure.
  • How often does Clipper host adventures?
    1. 1.
Adventures take extensive time to design and prepare for to ensure that people have a positive experience. They happen once every few months. An Adventure will consist of multiple quests. The Adventure will vary in length, on average 3-4 weeks.
    2. 2.
To see how Clipper's maiden adventure, The Search for Polygon Isles, unfolded, read our recap.
  • How often are the quests?
    1. 1.
Quests will open on Mondays, close on Thursdays, with a tally of points announced on Friday.
  • How can I participate?
    1. 1.
Keep an eye on Discord and Twitter. When an Adventure is announced, a channel will open on Discord where you can react with an emoji to join a ship. We will give a 3-5 days to join a ship, if you do not join in that time, you will have to wait for the next one.
  • Do I need any skills to participate?
    1. 1.
No special skills required, only your enthusiasm. It would be useful for you to be familiar with Clipper before joining an adventure, though. You can read about Clipper through the docs and blog. The Adventures will be in English. There are language channels in Clippers Discord whether you can ask questions, if you have trouble understanding the instructions.
  • Do I need to participate in every quest?
    1. 1.
Yes. Participation in every quest is mandatory. Pirates will be thrown overboard if they do not complete a task, preventing them from finishing the adventure and claiming rewards.
  • Can I be kicked out of the Adventure?
    1. 1.
Yes, you will be kicked out of the Adventure (i.e., have your role removed from Discord) if you do not adhere to Clipper’s code of conduct. This includes, no cheating or sharing answers with others. No bullying or trying to scam others. No signing up multiple wallets or discord accounts. We will be looking at our data to find patterns and spot these individuals. Be aware you will be blacklisted from any Clipper rewards if you violate our conducts. Including, blacklisting your wallet address.
  • What are the rewards?
    1. 1.
Rewards will vary slightly based on the adventure. During Clipper's first adventure, The Search for Polygon Isles, Pirates were rewarded by being added to the CLP Polygon whitelist, given an exclusive NFT, and discounted merch from the Clipper store.
    2. 2.
Captains were given additional rewards for their leadership.

      5. 5.
Host special guests in their Ship Channels.
      6. 6.
Moderate discussions and relay information or feedback to their teams or admins.
  • How are the Captains selected?
    1. 1.
Captains are selected by the Clipper Crew based on the following criteria:

Fluency in English - Fluent in verbal and written communication.
      3. 3.

When the time comes there will be a sign up for Captains, however, in the meantime the best way to audition for a role is by consistently responding to people in discord and answering their questions politely. Being fluent in English, being respectful and kind to others in the community are traits we look for.
